That's just an awful contract.  I wonder what the next best offer was.  7 years?  Even if the money wasnt too much for Ladd, that length is atrocious.

It's made even worse with all the bonus money. Can't buy it out.

Albatross.

Is Myers out with something to do with his off-season surgeries?

I don't think so.  It's obviously not anything serious or significant since he's not on IR.

I thought Maurice actually mentioned it was an upper body injury.

Meanwhile in Winnipeg, we have goaltending depth that most GMs are envious of.

Shutting out Vancouver? They are worst team in the NHL.

Seriously though, Phillips has a 7-0 record and Berdin was just named goalier or player of the month in USHL. Comrie is 3-2 with a .919 sv%.

It would be nice to not have Pavs and assign Phillips to the Moose to back up Comrie and take over next year when Comrie moves up.

No, let Phillips play. They need to play in games to get better.

Let Pav stay where he is. He's providing a veteran presence and, by all accounts, has been truly professional about the situation.

Phillips develops better and gets better coaching with the Moose. Plus, being in the same team as the Jets it is a better experience for him. He could still get 30 starts with the Moose and next year he would be the starter. Glad Kasdorf went to Buffalo and not Phillips.

Lol at wanting the Jets to sign a new goalie... come on now.

I could see if a talented d-man was put on waivers that they missed out on... but goalie is the one position we do not need to worry about.

A million thanks for posting this.....I hate Kesler.

Notice Domi is skating towards him and Kesler is skating back...Kesler starts taking the gloves off first...couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

Interesting:

Star Tribune Wild beat man Mike Russo addressed the Kane to Wild chatter on Sunday when he wrote:

" I can only say that I’ve been told by multiple sources multiple times that there were trade talks. But you can assume that in order to add $5.25 million in salary (even if salary/cap space were retained), it would have had to be a “hockey trade.”
