Once upon a time AC was cut etc. We cant say 100% what would have happened if we changed the past. Its football things happen. With glenn it would have been a different game but could have been the same out come. in 2001 we were hands down better then calgary. Id say top to bottom. But we lost. If that team can lose to that stamps team (crandell was a journeymen and kinda avg starter too) while being pretty much healthy any thing can happen. I think if we play that game 10 times with 100% healthy rosters the bombers would win 7 times against sask. But when it came down to it, we didnt. Doesnt matter what would happen the hypothetical times, only on game day. 9.9999 times out of 10 the milt beats edmonton on the last play of the game (clutch glenn) doesnt happen. Same with the khari to arland bruce come back in calgary. He still isn't. God help him if play off games are outside and not inside.

He used to be the no1 guy to turn over the ball in the clutch. Now hes a guy who can win you the game. Not by any means the most clutch qb of all time. But he is a big game performer. Its a huge turn around from his younger days.

Which happened to be indoors to boot. Guy is **** outside in the late fall.
B-F-F-C Posted July 6, 2016 Report Posted July 6, 2016 Right now I'll be happy with a QB that is effective 17 of the 20 week CFL season. That would be a HUGE improvement from what we've had over the past 5 - 6 years. Mr Dee 1

A ton more then khari. AC won 3 and lost 5 with some better teams then calgary. Damon allen won what 3 in 50 years? Dunigan won 2, from the bench. Hes not doug flutie, or warren moon. He isnt gonna carry the team on his back to a championship. But hes become pretty dependable.

You could even make a case that it's been more like 12 years since we've had a QB who's excelled in those situations. B-F-F-C 1
mbrg Posted July 6, 2016 Report Posted July 6, 2016 Goodness people...Burris is a great QB who has gotten better with age and all that Hank and Frank nonsense hasn't been a thing since 2006; yes we probably win the 2007 cup with Glenn but it's not as simple as changing 4 plays because that's not how time works so get over it already it's an unprovable argument; and how could anyone who saw what happened in SK ever suggest bringing Chamblin in? Knee-jerk reactions tend to be stupid at the best of times, and this not being the best of times might be why it sets a new bar. And someday in the future Chamblin will get an assistant job again, probably in Hamilton, and do just fine just like Reinbold is doing in Montreal. None of which makes this idea any brighter.
