Enough with your ridiculous 9 goals argument... you trot it out every single time someone mentions Perrault. He's a setup man, how hard is that to comprehend or are you just bored... BigBlueFanatic 1
Atomic Posted July 7, 2016 Report Posted July 7, 2016 (edited) 40-45 point guy with great possession numbers who can play centre and wing and doesn't look out of place anywhere in the top 9. Clearly likes the city and gets along well with the rest of the team. He's a veteran on a team that doesn't have too many, and every line he plays on seems to find success. It's obvious that he is a high-character type guy. 4th on the team in assists last year. Best Corsi, best Fenwick. 3rd in power play minutes and 3rd in power play points. Tied for second in power play goals. This is a good move any way I look at it. Perreault has become a huge part of this team. Ducky Posted July 8, 2016 Report Posted July 8, 2016 Good signing for both parties. MP isn't only a vet, he is a smallish vet that will help the likes of Ehlers, Petan, and the smaller players with the tricks of the trade. He plays like he is 6' 4" though. One of the reasons he never gets an 82 game season. He'd score 50 points if he did. The PP should be interesting this year with Laine on it and the new coach helping out there. Interested to see what both special teams look like this season. EK is such a classy guy, wish he were still here. Buffalo must be happy with him about now. What do you think he is worth now? Not much...
Goalie Posted July 8, 2016 Report Posted July 8, 2016 (edited) 9 goals? Yup on a career low shooting percentage. You know. This whole points for argument is ridiculous. You look at oilers... they had hall Eberle mcdavid RNH etc with quite a few points. What it get them tho? 2nd last. Not everyone can score 20 goals. Some guys are assist guys. Some are good defensive players. Some like Perreault can score and put up points and play well defensively but had a career low shooting percentage. If he bumps that back up to his average he's a 15 to 20 goal plus 25 to 35 assist guy. In today's nhl the fancy stats matter more than points. Perreault has very very good fancy stats Edited July 8, 2016 by Goalie
